DC Comics has released the first trailer for its upcoming film "Blue Beetle," featuring rising star Xolo Mariduena in the lead role. The film will mark the first time a Latino superhero has headlined a DC Comics movie.

Mariduena plays the role of Jaime Reyes, a teenager from El Paso, Texas, who discovers a powerful alien scarab that gives him a suit with incredible powers. The trailer showcases Reyes' journey as he learns to control his newfound abilities and protect his community.

"Blue Beetle" has been highly anticipated by DC Comics fans, with the film set to bring a fresh and diverse perspective to the superhero genre. The film is directed by Angel Manuel Soto, known for his work on "Charm City Kings," and written by Mexican-born writer Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer.

The trailer has been well-received on social media, with fans praising the representation and inclusion of a Latino superhero in the DC Comics universe. "Blue Beetle" is set to release in theaters on November 17th, 2023, and will also be available on HBO Max for a limited time.
